SPM -- Announcements for the SPM community
About SPM	English (USA) Greek
This mailing list is intended as a tool for anyone who is part of the SPM community or interested in the topic. It should provide a fast and easy way of distributing announcements for events (conference sessions, colloquia, summer schools, topical journal issues,...) and job offers (PhD, postdoc, internships, ...) without spamming your inbox. Its creation was inspired by a similar very successful project in the psi-k theory community. This mailing list is one-way, currently it is not intended to have discussions on this list. If you want to receive replies or comments (e.g. when posting job offers), please provide an email address for response in your message. Technical details: Send your email to spm@fz-juelich.de Your message should fit into one of the following three categories: (1) "General announcement" (2) "Event listing" (3) "Job listing" The category type ("..") should appear in the subject line of your email to enable correct sorting. Commercial (non-academic) postings are currently not desired. To sign up you just need a valid email address (see below). The list is moderated to avoid any spamming, which means that your post will not be forwarded immediately to the list members. Using SPM
To post a message to all the list members, send email to spm@fz-juelich.de. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to SPM
Subscribe to SPM by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
